Dedicated to the care, preservation, and promotion of our enduring heritage.
To preserve, protect, and celebrate the historical and spiritual legacy of Allenville Church & Cemetery, ensuring that the stories of our ancestors continue to inspire and educate future generations.
Allenville Church & Cemetery is a registered Canadian nonprofit organization (CRA Registry ID: 806893434RR0001) dedicated to the care and preservation of one of Nova Scotia's most significant historic sites. Located on Blueberry Lane near Parrsboro, this site represents over two centuries of faith, family, and community resilience.
We actively restore gravestones, maintain the church property, and archive critical historical records. We believe that preserving our past is an essential act of community care, connecting today's residents and descendants from afar with the sacrifices and triumphs of those who built our community.
A community deeply rooted in its history, where the Allenville Church & Cemetery stands as an accessible, vibrant, and enduring monument to our shared heritage.
We envision a future where the Allenville Church is not only a perfectly preserved architectural landmark but also a living center for education and reflection. We strive to make our genealogical records and historical archives fully accessible to descendants and researchers worldwide.
By fostering a strong community of volunteers, supporters, and heritage enthusiasts, we aim to ensure that the sacred grounds of our cemetery and the historic walls of our church are maintained in perpetuity, serving as a peaceful sanctuary and a source of provincial pride.
